Hi everyone! I recently started work on a personal project -- ranking all of 2015's Kpop MV's by YouTube views! I just finished writing a computer program that pulled the YouTube view counts (and a couple of other interesting statistics) on ~1,500 Kpop MV's that were released this year. My code isn't perfect yet (please read the disclaimers!), but I wanted to go ahead and share my results so far.

- The code I wrote searches for the YouTube video of each song. It doesn't always manage to find the official MV (e.g., sometimes it finds lyric videos posted by fans instead), so some of these view counts may not be for the right videos. I've tried to correct the mistakes, but I may have missed a few. If you notice anything is wrong, I'd love it if you could let me know, and I'll fix it.
- Sometimes artists have multiple official channels. Right now, my program only pulls the view count for whichever official video has more views. For instance, BTS always releases MV's through both 1theK and ibighit, but right now, I am only pulling the view counts on videos posted through 1theK. I am trying to fix this problem - it's just kind of hard to check hundreds of videos to see if there were multiple official postings. >.<
- Because of the above two problems, some songs that should be in the top 100 might be missing from the ranking below, because I didn't find the right video or because I didn't add up views from all the official MV's.
