I feel like with the entrance of groups like iKON and TWICE that the 'rookie storm' is on its way to an end and a new era is finally about to begin.
for groups:
WINNER - starting with the most deserving group to come back imo! they will release a mini album in january and one in the summer.
They have moderate success and get their name out even more...they deserve some variety time as well.
AOA - Going to have a hit, hopefully even two and propel even further up the tier chart a little.
TWICE - they're going to have one more comeback and then go on break for a few months.
They are preparing for a new comeback anyway.
GOT7 - their popularity is on the rise and I feel they will have a moderate hit on their hands and win some music shows. hopefuly JYP gives them the right producer.
EXO - Another year...another slay lol no really, I feel like a solo or two will or SHOULD come next year.
iKON - I honestly feel like 2016 is going to be the year of iKON despite them being on tour most of the year, they are literally everywhere, even their lightstick causing controversy. they are releasing their album next week and I expect one or two of the songs to chart well and become a big hit. YG is aiming for that anyway with this group. Their arena tour will surely gather newer fans as well growing their already massive fandom.
GFRIEND: They are growing in public recognition and popularity really well so I think they will keep the formula of this year and see good results. some wins here and there hopefully!
BTS: They are going to continue to rise and rise in popularity especially if they constantly stay in the public eye with comebacks and do concerts a lot.
BAP: sigh...i really felt bad for them coming back but they did do kinda well despite them being gone for a long time, I see them getting RIGHT back on track and getting to the same spot they were when they left off with 1004. A few hard hitting comebacks, variety and tours and they will be well on their way.
Seventeen: saved for last because I'm honestly very scared for them, they have such POTENTIAL....but they are with pledis, the last group who debuted, NU'EST was one of the best debuts in 2012 and in KPOP in general IMO, NU'EST had everything to be successful but with the lackluster follow up songs and bad promoting, they sunk and fell behind BAP and EXO. If 17 can avoid nasty mismanagement they will be fine because their music rocks!
