Zhang Yixing better known by his stage name Lay, is a Chinese singer, dancer and songwriter.

He is the main dancer and vocalist of the boy band Exo and is also a member of the project SM The Performance, under the seal of SM Entertainment.

Lay joined S.M. Entertainment in 2008 after a successful audition with the company's global casting system in Changsha.

At the time of the auditions, he was 16 years old and was studying for his college entrance exams.
